The new guy: Jaroslav (Senior Project Manager)

The redtoo family is constantly growing. Almost every month there are new employees starting at one of our international offices taking over multifacetted tasks. To help you get to know “the new guys” and learn about what they are doing at redtoo we have set up this blog section. Each month one new redtoo employee answers a few questions about his or her job, tasks and start at redtoo. This month it’s Jaroslav’s turn, our first Project Manager in Prague.

the new guy, Jaroslav, senior project managerHello Jaroslav. Could you tell us something about yourself?

Hello, my name is Jaroslav. I’m 32 years old and my family counts two kids (7years, 10months), two cats and 5 parrots J.

I have started in Prague redtoo office in early January 2013 as Senior Project Manager. My past experience ranges from Service Support to Service Delivery areas – in other words my career includes the delivery of complex projects in the client/desktop area on a global scale, as well as implementation projects of SharePoint (2007, 2010), MS Project Server (2007, 2010) in different industry areas (Financial, Logistics, Manufacturing).

Over the last few years I have set my main focus on the implementation of MS System Center Suit components (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM, Orchestrator, App-V) as well as the management of those systems in Operations. Other very interesting projects were Mobility Management, Data Protection and Data Centre Migration (from London to Prague).

You are working for redtoo as a Senior Project Manager. Which tasks or duties does your job include?  What exactly are you doing?

I’m currently assigned to lead a project for one of redtoo’s major customers in the pharmaceutical industry.  I will have to implement and interconnect Document and Training Management solutions together with setting up Service Organization and related Records Management.

How does a typical workday of yours look?

Well, actually there is not really a “typical” workday – More often than not each day is different – but that’s what makes it interesting. However, some of the major components of my work week are Meetings, workshops, documentation, meetings and meetings… :)

Why did you decide to work for redtoo?

I was looking for a new challenge and redtoo gave me the opportunity to meet new people and learn many new things. I also like friendly atmosphere in the office and the unique team spirit a lot.

What is your first impression after working a few weeks for redtoo now?

redtoo is a very flexible and dynamic company with many experienced colleagues. I am completely sure that my new assignment will bring many new challenges for sure.

How do you spend your spare time?

I like to travel a lot. But I also enjoy spending time with my family. And I’m big music fan, too – I love all kinds of music except Country music.

Thank you for your time, Jaroslav.
